JUNIOR DESIGNER + SOCIAL MEDIA GURU
Beecher Walker, an award-winning architecture and interior design firm based in Salt Lake City, Utah, is looking for a capable, enthusiastic, and thoughtful Junior Designer who embraces direction and will be a supportive asset to the design team. The ideal individual will work well in a collaborative environment with the design team on projects from conceptual design through procurement and installation. This person is media-savvy, energetic and detail-oriented, and will be a key contributor to our communications and marketing team by helping to curate our social media messaging. This will require vision, voice, and full-tilt passion.
Responsibilities:
•Researching vendors and maintaining the Materials Library
•Preparing computer-generated renderings (or hand sketches) for internal design review
•Assist in creating Specification Packages and custom furniture drawings
•Assist in order tracking and vendor correspondence for multiple client projects
•Assist with the production of construction drawing sets
•Cultivate and create social media content across various platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest)
•Create and implement content calendars & assist in generating timely, on-brand social media marketing campaigns
•Assist in cultivating leads and developing relationships with like-minded brands
•Assist Marketing Team with maintaining proactive and reactive media relations that promote positive communication, as well as identifying possible alliances with digital/print media, blogs, and design influencers
•Assist in coordinating and overseeing social media assets library
Skills + Experience:
•2-3 years’ experience in interiors or architecture, and a degree from an accredited school in interior design or architecture
•Eagerness to learn the full design process including Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, Procurement, and Installation
•High proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam skills
•Hand sketching and rendering ability
•Passion, energy, and enthusiasm for social media, and detailed knowledge and experience around various social media platforms
•Strong written and verbal communication skills (any blogging, editorial, marketing experience is a plus)
•Passion for design, art and culture with an eye for emerging trends
•Innovative and creative thinking
