SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

Beecher Walker, an award-winning architecture and interior design firm based in Salt Lake City, Utah, is on the hunt for a Senior Interior Designer with experience in commercial, hospitality, and residential projects to join our culturally-driven interiors team.
In its 20th year, Beecher Walker received Architectural Firm of the Year honors from two prestigious industry associations this year, but we don’t want to stop there. We desire the same results for our interiors department, hence we are looking for a pivotal designer who is dedicated to helping us grow the interior department and push design limits with innovative, next-level ideas that can take clients somewhere they’ve never been before.  The ideal candidate is a hustler who is inventive, passionate about design, and capable of stepping into a project management role when needed.

Responsibilities:
•Collaborate seamlessly with clients, peers, consultants, contractors, fabricators, and developers on multiple projects.
•Responsible for material sourcing and specification, custom furniture design, visual research, furniture sourcing, graphic and visual presentations, and maintaining project budgets and timelines.
•Create project documentation including the submission of a full drawing set, specification writing, schedules, and construction administration (submittals, RFIs, ASIs/IDSIs, review/response, and consultant coordination).

Skills + Experience:
•8+ years’ experience in interiors or architecture, and a degree from an accredited school
•Passion for design and a strong eye for detail
•Strong rendering ability
•Knowledge of the full design process including Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, Procurement, and Installation
•High proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Microsoft Office Suite, and Bluebeam skills
•Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to adapt to the daily needs of the team
•Strong written and verbal communications
•Strong graphic, design, and technical skills
•Ability to work with design team and project managers
•Ability to mentor junior designers
•Effective problem-solving and organizational skills
•Knowledge of construction, detailing, and ability to coordinate project teams
